However, the Flying Does approached this encounter with tactical discipline and attacking brilliance. Abia Angels dominated possession and controlled the midfield, dictating the tempo for large spells. Rangers Women, however, looked more threatening going forward, constantly stretching the Angels’ defensive line. Left-back Jennifer Ozoani delivered a stellar performance, contributing effectively in attack while remaining solid defensively. Rangers created several first-half opportunities but failed to convert. In the 27th minute, Ohaeri Amarachi had a golden chance to open the scoring, but her effort sailed over the crossbar. Moments later, Onwe Miracle came close after being set up by Amarachi, but goalkeeper Jessica Inyima produced a fine save to deny her. In midfield, the duo of Favour Richmore and Favour Ogbonnaya stood out. Richmore orchestrated attacking moves and created chances, while Ogbonnaya played a deeper role, absorbing pressure from Abia Angels’ experienced and physical midfield. The breakthrough finally came in the 67th minute. Jennifer Ozoani dazzled past the Abia Angels defence and unleashed a powerful left-footed strike. Goalkeeper Jessica Inyima got a touch but inadvertently parried the ball into her own net. Faith Agu ensured the lead was preserved with brilliant saves in the 78th and 84th minutes. At full time, it ended: Rangers International Women FC 1–0 Abia Angels. This win means that the Flying Does are unbeaten in their last 19 games against female teams.
